Weekend Ministry Excursions
When you register for Quito ‘08, you will be asked to choose a weekend ministry excursion, where you will experience and participate in the life and ministry of local Alliance churches. We will return Sunday evening to Quito to celebrate what God is doing through His church, from the city to the jungle!
- Jungle Trip — Travel deep into the jungle. You will have opportunities to minister through several outreaches. Important: Bring your mosquito nets and DEET!
- Bramadora — This is similar to an African jungle situation, with a mission church that is training and discipling in five other churches. You’ll enjoy the local cuisine and have a chance to minister in various capacities. Important: Bring your mosquito nets and DEET!
- Agato — This is an experience you won’t forget! For years the Otavalo Indian tribe was resistant to the gospel. Thanks to persistent missionaries, there are thousand of believers in this tribe now. Hear the Quichua language and engage in culturally relevant ministry.
- Quito — Ecuador’s capital city has some of the largest national churches. El Bataan, which is more than a thousand members strong, has daughtered several churches. Some are poor and struggling. Some aren’t. But believers at all Alliance churches in Quito have a passion for Christ and love to share the gospel.
Each of these trips provides opportunities to minister in many areas including concerts, church services, construction, and sharing testimonies.
